 Sandes Pirbright to Harrogate 500mile Charity Bike Ride

SANDES  Pirbright(Surrey) is a Christian Charity which provides significant welfare support to our soldiers, Their families and the wider Pirbright military community. Bodywise Cycles will be part of the support team assisting Matt to complete the challenge ahead, the aim of the charity bike ride is to raise money for vital repairs to the Pirbright SANDES centre which requires some £230K to achieve a complete renovation and modernisation of their building facility.  The ride will commence on Sunday 7th August 2011 starting from the SANDES centre in Pirbright to the SANDES centre in Harrogate (at the Army Foundation College) and then back again, raising money for the much needed renovation and repair work to be carried out.  Matt suffered significant injuries  during OP HERRICK 6 in 2007 as the result of a mine strike. This resulted in the amputation of his right leg, severe damage to both arms and his left groin and abdomen. This challenge is unique in the fact that he will be cycling the full distance as a single leg amputee.
